Dr Aniket is a Paediatric Hepatologist, Gastroenterologist and Liver transplant specialist based in Mumbai. He has attained his Doctorate of Medicine (DM) in Paediatric Hepatology with specialised training in liver transplant treatment and care from the reputed Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences in New Delhi, the sole institution in the nation offering a 3-year academic program in this specialized field. He holds the distinction of being the first individual in Mumbai and the second in Maharashtra to have completed this course.

He additionally worked as Honorary Clinical Observer at the world renowned King’s College NHS trust Hospital in London and Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Trust Hospital in the United kingdom. He has extensive knowledge and experience in evaluating, diagnosing and treating a wide range of liver, biliary, pancreas and gastrointestinal diseases in children. He aspires to provide the best treatment to paediatric patients with liver problems, ranging from newborn up to 18 years, while also contributing to advancement in the field of Paediatric Hepatology and Gastroenterology via research and teaching.

His areas of interest include the diagnosis and treatment of various liver conditions such as parenchymal and cholestatic liver diseases, metabolic liver Diseases, paediatric biliary disorders, vascular liver diseases, liver transplant care (Pre-transplant and Post transplant), Pain in abdomen, Constipation, Diarrhoea- loose stools, Blood in stools along with pancreatic disorders and nutrition. He also is skilled in paediatric procedures such as upper endoscopy (variceal banding and sclerotherapy), colonoscopy, percutaneous liver biopsy, HVPG measurement, H-pylori testing, foreign body removal, polypectomy.

In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr Deshmukh is a recognized researcher and educator.

He has received multiple prestigious awards, including the Young Investigator Award from ESPGHAN and APPSGHAN, and has published groundbreaking research in leading journals. He is actively involved in developing national and international treatment guidelines for Paediatric liver diseases.
